How to solve a matrix
First compare cells in a row, then check whether the same operation works in another row. Look at shape, count, fill, rotation and position independently. Only choose an answer when it satisfies both horizontal and vertical evidence; a distractor may match one rule but fail the other.
What practice changes
These short original puzzles help you get familiar with matrix logic. Improvement here means you are learning this kind of problem; it does not prove a broad increase in intelligence. After each answer, read the explanation and try to describe the rule in your own words.
